Bird On A Wire

The roads grow dark and cold when no one passes by. Can't remember the last time I saw a glimmer of hope in someone's eye. When love flys south for the winter we forget what we vowed to remember, He said "I will never leave or forsake you." But if that's really true why is fear competing with you? Here I am asking to be rescued from this lonely pavement tonight. Do wounded wings take flight?

(Chorus)

Don't leave me here like a bird on a wire. Stranded and abandoned, left watching the world go by. No participation below, when you look down the fear just grows. Asleep above the motion, despondent to signs of life. When will the bird on this wire fly?

Being alive means being awake to your love. But when apathy captures your heart you just feel stuck. Somewhere between living a lie and living authenticly. You think you're alone in the shadows but someone's running after you. A love you're not used to is chasing after you.

(Repeat Chorus)

I wanna take your hand, find life in your eyes. Dance in the glowing embers of this night. Forget what it's like to be alone. Awaken to the memory of being fully known. Created new and created whole. Ready to fly as you free my soul.

(Repeat Chorus 2x)
